Terms of service
Last updated: 5 June 2026
Service description
CBAMcheck provides a free online tool that estimates potential UK CBAM liabilities based on import data you provide. The tool generates an indicative liability range and a readiness report. It is not a compliance filing service.
No warranty on accuracy
The estimates produced by CBAMcheck are indicative only. They are based on HMRC default emission factors and assumed UK ETS price ranges. Actual CBAM liabilities will depend on verified supplier emissions data, prevailing carbon prices, carbon prices paid at origin, and the final enacted legislation.
CBAMcheck does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any estimate. The tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
Not tax or legal advice
Nothing on this site constitutes tax, legal, or professional advice. You should consult a qualified adviser before making compliance decisions based on the output of this tool.
Your obligations
- You must provide accurate information when using the tool.
- You must use a valid email address.
- You must not upload files containing personal data beyond what is required (commodity codes, values, weights, supplier names).
- You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the service.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oportax Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed £100.
Intellectual property
All content, design, and code on this site is owned by CBAMcheck Ltd. You retain ownership of any data you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process your data for the purpose of providing the service.
