Check your exposure from HMRC customs data

The Import item report lists each item on your import declarations, with its commodity code and customs value. Upload yours and see your estimated UK CBAM levy. The files are read in your browser and never leave your computer.

How to get your Import item report

  1. Go to Get customs data for import and export declarations on GOV.UK and choose Start now. Sign in with the Government Gateway user ID linked to your EORI number. Reports are available for EORI numbers starting GB or XI.
  2. Request an Import item report. Each report covers up to 31 consecutive days, so a year of imports takes up to 12 reports. A report can start from any date in the last 4 years, but the most recent 2 days are not available.
  3. HMRC emails you when a report is ready, which can take up to 72 hours. Reports download as CSV files.
  4. Upload the CSV files below, up to 12 at once. A line that appears in more than one report is counted once.

If a column in your file has a name we do not recognise, we ask you to match it before anything is calculated.
